Biocom, San Diego’s biotech industry organization, held its first CalAsia conference this week, with more than 300 attendees.
The event attracted a “who’s who” of biotech industry leaders from the Pacific Rim, and beyond.
Biocom plans to continue holding this as an annual event, said Joe Panetta, the group’s chief-executive officer. But it already had offers from at least one other country – South Korea – to jointly organize such events there.
